- Boil and Cool the Water: Boil fresh drinking water. HiPP’s German on-pack instructions direct you to let it cool to roughly 104°F to 122°F before mixing. Note that U.S. guidance from the CDC and FDA recommends preparing powdered formula with water no cooler than 158°F, then cooling the prepared bottle under running water before feeding.
