Töpfer formula is prepared in the same general way as most powdered infant formulas, but water temperature and measurement accuracy matter both for safety and for preserving heat-sensitive nutrients. Sanitize Before You Start
Wash hands thoroughly and sanitize the bottle, ring, and nipple before each use.
Water Temperature
Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool down to approximately 104°F to 122°F before mixing.
Measure Accurately
Pour the required amount of cooled, boiled water into the bottle first, then add the correct number of level scoops. Use only the enclosed measuring scoop; don’t press the powder into the scoop or use sharp objects to level it off.
Shake Thoroughly
Close the bottle tightly and shake vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved. Allow it to cool to drinking temperature (approximately 98.6°F), and always test the temperature on the inside of your wrist or at the back of your hand before feeding.
