Baby Formula Recall Tracker
Last reviewed November 7, 2026 · checked weekly
Every infant formula recall and regulator safety alert we found since January 2023, from the U.S. FDA, Health Canada, the UK Food Standards Agency and the German and Austrian food-safety portals, plus EU-wide alerts where they name a brand. Each notice has its lot codes and a link to the official page.
Latest. The most recent U.S. recall is Nara Organics (all lots, June 13, 2026). Among the brands Formuland sells, the most recent notices are the early-2026 European cereulide recalls of certain Aptamil batches (UK packs and German/Austrian packs) and one Canada-only Kendamil pack. HiPP and Holle formulas were not part of those recalls.

Notices per year
2026 = January to November 7, 2026.
Notices by cause
Cause as stated in each official notice.
A recall reported by two regulators (for example the FDA and Health Canada) counts as two notices. Distributor follow-up notices are listed but not counted.
Status by brand
notice in 2026 notice 2023–2025 none found since January 2023. Tap a notice count to jump to it. Formuland sells some of these brands; every brand is listed by the same rules.
How to check your can
Find the codes. The lot (batch) code and best-before or use-by date are often on the base; the notice says where. European dates read day.month.year (11.11.2027 = Nov 11, 2027).
Match the exact product. A recall names a product, size and country version. A UK pack and a German pack of the same brand are different products.
Compare with the official list linked in each notice below. If your can matches, stop using it and follow the notice for returns and refunds. A recall marked “terminated”, or an outbreak declared over, does not make recalled cans safe to use.
If your baby drank a recalled formula, follow the FDA or manufacturer notice and your pediatrician. The FDA advises seeking immediate medical attention if a baby who drank a recalled product shows symptoms.
Bought it from Formuland? Email care@formuland.com with your order number and a photo of the base of the can.
Report a problem with formula in the U.S. through the FDA's Safety Reporting Portal or MedWatch. In Canada, report to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and check Recalls and safety alerts.

How we build this tracker
We list only notices we have read on the regulator's or manufacturer's own page, and we link that page. We do not use news stories as sources. Sources: FDA recalls, market withdrawals and safety alerts; FDA outbreak investigations; FDA enforcement reports (openFDA); Health Canada recalls and safety alerts; the UK Food Standards Agency (archived alert pages); Germany's lebensmittelwarnung.de; Austria's AGES; and the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed. The tracker covers infant formula (including toddler and specialty formulas when a regulator issued a notice). It does not cover baby food jars, pouches or snacks. It lists recalls and safety alerts only: FDA import alerts, which concern how a product may enter the U.S., are a different kind of notice and are not listed here.
Limits: openFDA data can lag the FDA website by several weeks, and European regulators do not always name the brand in EU-level alerts; we do not check every European national regulator. If you know of a notice we missed, email care@formuland.com with the link.
Before 2023 (outside this tracker's window): in August 2021 a U.S. importer, Able Groupe, recalled certain HiPP, Holle, Lebenswert and Kendamil formulas it had imported, because FDA premarket notifications had not been submitted and some did not meet U.S. iron requirements. (FDA notice)
Frequently asked questions
Is there a baby formula recall right now?
As of November 7, 2026, the most recent U.S. infant formula recall is Nara Organics Whole Milk Infant Formula (all lots, announced June 13, 2026). In Europe, certain batches of Aptamil (UK packs and German/Austrian packs) and SMA, BEBA, NAN and ALFAMINO were recalled in early 2026 over cereulide. Each notice, with its lot codes and official link, is listed above.
Has Kendamil formula been recalled?
One Kendamil pack was recalled in Canada on February 22, 2026: Kendamil Infant formula with whole milk, 1049 g, sold only at Costco Wholesale Canada, lots L 897274 M 121 and L 888632 M 121. Kendamil states that no U.S. product is implicated. We found no FDA recall of Kendamil since January 2023.
Has Aptamil been recalled?
Yes, in early 2026. The UK Food Standards Agency recalled Aptamil First Infant Formula 800 g on January 23, 2026 and extended the recall to more Aptamil 1 and 2 packs by best-before date. In Germany and Austria, Danone recalled Aptamil Pronutra and Profutura DuoAdvance (DE/AT packs) by best-before date from January 30, 2026. Check the best-before date on the base of your can against the official tables linked above.
Are HiPP and Holle formulas part of the 2026 cereulide recalls?
No. HiPP states: “HiPP milk formula is not affected by the recall.” Holle states its formulas are not affected (“Holle Milchnahrungen sind von dem Rückruf nicht betroffen”). We also found no HiPP or Holle formula recall in FDA or Health Canada records since January 2023.
What is cereulide?
In the a2 Platinum recall notice posted by the FDA, the company describes cereulide as “a heat-stable toxin produced by some strains of the bacterium Bacillus cereus” and notes that preparing formula with hot water does not eliminate it.
What does “None found” mean for a brand?
It means we found no recall or safety alert for that brand in the sources listed for the period since January 2023. It is not an endorsement, and it does not cover notices before 2023.
How do I check whether my can is recalled?
Find the lot (batch) code and the best-before or use-by date on the base of the can, then compare them, together with the exact product name, size and country version, with the list in the official notice. If your can matches, stop using it and follow the notice's instructions.
How often is this tracker updated?
We review FDA, Health Canada and European recall notices every week and update this page when a new formula notice appears. The “Last reviewed” date at the top shows the most recent review.
